IT'S ladies' night at Fontwell tonight (Thursday) – and there's one trainer hoping his sister's success can rub off on him.
West Sussex handler Nick Gifford was delighted last week when his sister Tina Cook landed a double bronze in the equestrian events at the Olympics.

Tonight, he aims to continue the family's good fortune when he enters Follow Your Heart in the Pimm's Handicap Chase (5.55).

The showpiece meeting kicks off at 5.25pm with the MacFarlanepackaging.Net Novices' Handicap Hurdle and ends with the Sussex Limousine Hire & Chauffer Company Handicap Hurdle at 7.55pm.

Yeomans Honda are among other sponsors, while the Jewson Novices' Hurdle at 6.25pm is a qualifier for a big hurdle race at Cheltenham in October.

It's a night to dress to impress at Fontwell.

The best dressed lady will win £1,000 and there will be prizes for every lady judged in the top ten.

All ladies who enter the competition will get the chance to appear on stage in front of the judges.

And the first 200 ladies through the gates will receive a free glass of Pimms.

There will be music from Suspiciously Elvis and a Tom Jones tribute act after racing.

The music starts around 8.15pm and continues to 9.30pm.

Ticket prices start from £17 but for other packages, call 01243 543335.

OUR FONTWELL TIPS
5.25 Generous Star, 5.55 Keltic Lord, 6.25 Shore Thing, 6.55 Monsieur Delage, 7.25 Vibe, 7.55 Vintage Fabric.
